About Us:
Kwong Kow Chinese School (KKCS) is a well-established community school dedicated to providing quality educational programs in language, culture, and STEAM subjects. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable FLL Teacher to lead and coach students in the exciting world of FIRST LEGO League (FLL).
Responsibilities:
- Teach students the fundamentals of robotics, coding, and problem-solving using LEGO® Education.
- Guide students through the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) challenge, including robot design, programming, and teamwork strategies.
- Help students develop engineering, research, and presentation skills as they prepare for FLL competitions.
- Foster a collaborative and engaging learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
- Support students in troubleshooting and refining their robot designs and programs.
- Manage and maintain LEGO robotics kits and materials.
Qualifications:
- Experience with LEGO robotics and programming (Scratch-based or Python).
- Familiarity with FIRST LEGO League structure, rules, and competitions preferred.
- Prior experience teaching or coaching kids (formal or informal).
- Passion for STEAM education and hands-on learning.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in a fun, team-oriented environment.
- Coach and lead students to attend FIRST LEAGUE competitions(FLC or FLLR)
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Develop and implement lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines
- Incorporate technology and other teaching resources to enhance learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress
