Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience Degree in environmental science, chemistry, biology, marine science, public health or other related major

Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Strong communication and writing, data management and organizational skills are required.

Desired skills: Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, or other dataprocessing applications.

Strong oral and written communication.

Job Duties in brief:

·Assists Public Water Systems with complying withFederal & State Safe Drinking Water Act standards & requirements.

·Conduct preliminary reviews of reports andevaluation of drinking water sample results

·Respond to water system and general publicinquiries (oral and written).

·Evaluate and track changes in water systeminventories (sources and treatments)

·Research regulatory requirements andimplementation.

·Evaluate and issue drinking water certificationsto child cares.

·Manage various special projects and assignmentssupporting the section’s overall operations.

·Perform routine and repetitive data entry; doesother related duties as required.

·Provide information according to departmentregulations, in person and by telephone.

·Answer the telephone accurately & professionally.

·Operate office machines and equipment.

Will be required to learn various types ofoffice programs & software necessary to perform duties.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $25.35 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
