Job Description: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Location: Rochester, NY
Contract Duration: November 25, 2024 - February 22, 2025
Shift: 12-hour Day Shift
Certifications Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
Experience Required: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a temporary position in Rochester, NY. This contract role requires professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Take full responsibility for own assignments and ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Float to various units as needed, with potential assignment to ICU or ER to care for medical/surgical level patients or to act as support staff.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Expected to work every other weekend and every other holiday during the contract period.
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN/LVN license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care hospital experience.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments.
- Comfortable taking on floating assignments as needed.
