Candidate MUST have strong attention to detail, data analysis capabilities, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, ability to handle a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment, vendor relationship management, and a keen understanding of accounting principles, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing of invoices. Position is fully on-site.
A background in the construction industry is essential for understanding the unique financial aspects and terminology associated with construction projects.
**Duties:**
- Process invoices and payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payables data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all AP transactions
- Monitor vendor payment agreements to ensure payments are up to date
- Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare reports as needed
- Support the finance team with additional tasks and projects as required
**Skills:**
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, HH2, Foundation, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of construction industry practices and terminology
