What are the responsibilities and job description for the Key Account Manger - Automotive position at KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC?
Oversee all KYOCERA AVX business with select key automotive customers. Responsible for the day-to-day management of all customer functions. Must develop relationships with key customer and pertinent manufactures representatives to facilitate development of new business/current business by promoting all of the KAVX product lines.
Additionally, they will assist the Director, Automotive Sales, with coordination and support of operational functions and activities as needed, including but not limited to booking reports for OEM & POS, bid and RFQ management reports, as well as cost management and forecasting. Facilitating visits by product marketing, FAE’s and management to key customer decision makers is also a key responsibility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Monitors sales booking performance against master plan and forecast on a month-to-month basis for both direct and POS sales.
- Act as liaison between marketing and sales, manufacturing – operations, authorized reps, distributors and customers.
- Works with KYOCERA AVX operations teams to set goals and establish measures to improve on-time-delivery performance.
- Maximize KYOCERA AVX’s position as a leader in customer scorecard metrics to increase sales and profitability.
- Resolve any customer issues, elevate within marketing and operations as needed.
- Improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Maximize new design wins on leading edge products.
- Have consistent interface with KYOCERA AVX operations and manufacturing teams to solve problems and promote a best-in-class customer experience.
- Oversee daily management of supply chain programs such as consignment and SMI.
- Track all contract awards based on award quantities compared to actual orders.
- Construct and execute an ongoing plan of action to carry out KYOCERA AVX’s marketing strategy and broad sales plans.
- Be an active participant in customer negotiations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience related to Sales, Product Management and Customer Negotiations within the automotive industry.
- Management of a multi-level strategic customers a plus
- Strong background in interpersonal and communication skills; global account management; sales systems; data acquisition and analysis; and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage and interact with a diverse organization of Manufacturer’s reps, Customer Service Representatives and Marketing teams.
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills with an ability to develop relationships at all levels with customers, representatives and KAVX personnel.
- Ability to communicate and travel up to 40% of the time and able to handle a book of business upwards of $50M in revenue.
- Building and maintaining relationships at all key customers in both procurement, engineering, quality and manufacturing.
- Be able to present market and sales knowledge to KYOCERA AVX Senior Management on a consistent basis.
