Primary Function

Performs all design phases of software development including internal design, code, test, document ation , and training. Evaluates user request for new or modified programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Performs systems analysis and design for maintenance and enhancement work.

Designs, codes, test s , and documents software.

Investigates software problems , formulates resolution, and make s necessary software corrections .

Perform s multi-program or systems test and a nalyzes test results.

Participates in planning and scheduling projects.

Analyzes new or existing programs / systems to improve functio nality and / or resolve business needs.

Writes internal design and program specifications for new program development and / or revisions.

Train users on new or changed functions.

Coordinates and interfaces with t echnical and o perations personnel for problem resolution, efficiency improvements, and implementation of new systems.

Keeps abreast of t echnical a dvancements through participation in professional organizations, literature, and education opportunities.

Gains understanding and develops expertise in department procedures and design methodologies and participates in improvement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

B achelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Business, or related field.

3 years’ experience in business application development

Strong object-oriented programming knowledge ( Javx , C#, etc.)

Ability to review and evaluate online screens and printed reports.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business personnel .

Demonstrated ability to think logically and analytically.
