Pay Range $76,058.97- $110,130.56  (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the procurement of materials, services, and supplies and is required hands-on/flexible support for keep production line running. Purchases complex/large impact materials, equipment, supplies, and services, at the most economical cost, and for delivery at the time and location specified in the purchase requisition. Expedites the orders by suppliers to meet production needs. Locates and evaluates suppliers, forecasts and reports procurement trends, negotiates, and administrates contracts. Participates in establishing strategies for assurance of supply and for significant cost reductions.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related field AND 2-3 years of buying experience; OR, 5 years of buying experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

APICS CSCP or ISM CPSM certification preferred.

Travel may be up to 10% in this job.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and negotiating skills required.

Ability to resolve invoice discrepancy, prevent delay payment by working with supplier and internal customers.

Deep knowledge to 2 or 3 commodities, i.e. raw materials, custom made metal components, capital equipment, chemical, tooling and contract services.

Understanding of market situation and purchasing environment and make effective purchasing strategy for stable supply and cost reduction.

Has sufficient experience and capability for the CSR and the regulatory compliance.

Must be computer literate with MS. SAP experience is preferred.

Ability to make quick decisions and take proactive/flexible actions in order to resolve problems.

Attention to detail is critical to success in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. RFQ, Place PO by using SAP, price/delivery negotiation with suppliers.  
  2. Communicate with internal customers to support them appropriately by understanding their needs/requirement. 
  3. Negotiate suppliers with best terms (price, delivery, and payment terms).
  4. Manage supplier’s delivery performance by utilizing Backlog and OTD report.
  5. Resolve invoice discrepancy, prevent delay payment by working with supplier, accounting department and internal customers.
  6. Develop and maintain Supplier relationship, contract administration, quoting process, PO follow through, and supply chain.
  7. Ensure procurement process, suppliers and supply chain are compliant with laws, regulations, and CSR requirements.
  8. Be a leader of projects to optimize procurement process.
  9. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
  10. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Knows the Procurement to Payment process very well.
