Pay Range - $23.51 – $36.17 (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Engineering Technician 3 works under limited supervision to provide a variety of support to production, quality, and engineering teams. This role will be responsible for the improvement and implementation of procedures throughout the plants and will be involved in testing, implementation and scoping of projects, and ones that require the use of independent judgment in determining a course of action. This position will assist with the setup of new production systems and may train machinists, operators, and inspectors. The Engineering Technician must have strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of a variety of machining processes. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. This level will effectively train others and may lead smaller projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute process operations according to SOPs, troubleshooting and resolution of equipment issues and process disruptions, developing and implementing process improvements, process monitoring, and supporting investigations.
- Contribute to the set up and evaluation of current and future production layout.
- Troubleshoot process disturbances, identifying resolution and implementing corrective and preventive measures, as required.
- Read/interpret CAD drawings, electrical/electronic schematics, and technical documents including but not limited to tolerances, dimensions geometric dimension & tolerancing (GD&T), and component values.
- Keeps work area clean and free of obstacles- maintains the quality documents including work orders, process departure reports and inventory cards.
- Proficient in the use of specialized hand and measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, dial indicators, Digital Multi-meters and more.
- Models’ safety and accurate reporting.
- Knowledgeable of entire department process through packaging. Cross trained in most areas.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· High school diploma or GED
· 6-year experience as a technician or machine specialist in manufacturing
· Ability to pass background and drug screen.
· Ability to stand and walk 90% of workday.
· Eligible to work in an ITAR environment.
· Ability to train other hourly employees effectively.
· Ability to use a microscope and variety of calibration tools.
