Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Purpose:
- Performs quality control inspections during the manufacture of orthopedic medical devices to ensure compliance to drawings, work orders, specifications, and purchase orders.
Responsibilities:
- In compliance with industry regulations, compiles and maintains manufacturing/quality records
- Inspects and handles materials, parts, and products at different stages of production
- Records observations and may make recommendations for improving inspection and handling processes
- Communicate and interact with suppliers as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Company
Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent; or three to five years of related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. ASQ Certification as a Quality Inspector preferred.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- Medical Device Manufacturing experience preferred
- Ideal candidate would be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to the FDA’s Quality System Regulations
- Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications and PO’s
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to perform a variety of simultaneous tasks
Physical/ Mental Requirements:
- Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arm; and talk or hear.
- The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The individual must have a high level of comprehension, and a high level of general, verbal, and numerical intelligence.
