What you’ll do:
As a CNC Set-Up Operator, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the precise set-up and operation of CNC and manual machines. You’ll troubleshoot, inspect, and optimize machine performance while working in a lean and safe manufacturing environment your key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Set-Up & Operation: Set up and adjust CNC machines to meet product specifications. Maintain machine feeds and speeds, conduct routine maintenance, and properly dress, maintain, and balance diamond wheels as needed. Use machine-specific software programs to enhance efficiency.
- Quality Control & Inspection: Perform in-process inspections, use precision measuring tools, and ensure compliance with our Quality Management System and safety standards. Interpret drawings and follow production routings. Monitor machine operations, listening for irregularities and checking gauges for potential issues.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Modify programming parameters, identify and correct set-up issues, and collaborate with other departments to improve equipment and processes.
- Workplace Organization & Teamwork: Complete all job-related paperwork and data collection accurately. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper handling of tools and manufacturing supplies. Assist in training new associates on set-up and operating functions.
- Maintenance & Equipment Care: Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure machine reliability. Identify potential equipment failures and report issues promptly.
- Documentation & Reporting: Complete inspection reports, job tracking, and production logs accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED Required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A team-player mindset with a commitment to quality and efficiency
- Previous CNC or tool grinding experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate!
