Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the OpenTable system or other point-of-sale technology.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring that all orders are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Process payments accurately, utilizing basic math skills to handle cash and credit transactions.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant procedures and customer service standards.
Skills
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary background is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations to enhance the dining experience.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of menu items and sales techniques.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions effectively.
