 We are seeking an individual with an unwavering passion for baking and a drive to exceed our customers' expectations by creating culinary masterpieces. 

Responsibilities: 

As the Pastry Sous Chef, you will work closely with the corporate executive chef and corporate pastry chef to curate seasonal menus, innovate new recipes, and oversee the pastry section of our kitchen.

  • Manage and oversee the pastry section of the kitchen, maintaining effective communication with the executive and sous chefs for a harmonious working environment. 
  • Prepare ingredients and handle baking equipment with proficiency. 
  • Create pastries, baked goods, and confections following designated recipes. 
  • Develop new recipes to enhance seasonal menus. 
  • Skillfully decorate pastries and desserts to ensure appealing and tasteful presentation. 
  • Collaborate with customers to plan and customize desserts and pastries for special occasions. 
  • Monitor baking ingredient inventory and order supplies within budgetary guidelines. 
  • Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations within the pastry section. 
  • Hire, supervise, and train staff members as necessary. 

Qualifications: 

  • Possess a certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or a related field. 
  • Have at least four years of experience in the food industry as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a relevant role. 
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of baking techniques and the pastry-making process. 
  • Showcase creative ability and artistic skills in cake decoration and dessert presentation. 
  • Display keen attention to detail in all aspects of pastry preparation. 
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition. 
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and evenings when required. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
