Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sequence Conveyor Operations:
- Sorting and Sequencing: Sort incoming product based on predetermined instructions and ensure accurate sequencing on the conveyor system.
- Product Handling: Safely handle products, ensuring they are appropriately positioned for the next stage in the process (picking, packing, or shipping).
- Monitor Conveyor System: Monitor the conveyor for jams, mechanical issues, or improper loading, and promptly resolve or report any problems.
- Scanning and Documentation: Utilize barcode scanners or RFID systems to track products through the conveyor system, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
- Inspection of Product: Check products for quality issues such as damage, defects, or incorrect labels before moving them to their next destination.
2. Assistance in Quality Control (QC) Department (as needed):
- Product Inspection: Perform visual and physical inspections on products, verifying adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Report Defects: Document any discrepancies or defects and communicate them to the appropriate personnel for corrective action.
- Rework: Rework defective products as per instructions, ensuring they meet quality requirements before resuming the sequence or being shipped.
3. Support in Shipping and Receiving Department (as needed):
- Loading/Unloading Trucks: Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring that products are handled properly to avoid damage.
- Receiving Product: Verify the accuracy of received shipments by comparing packing lists and invoices with physical items.
- Shipping Preparation: Prepare product for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and palletizing orders as per customer specifications.
- Inventory Control: Help maintain accurate inventory counts by participating in periodic stock checks and cycle counts.
- Organize and Stage Shipments: Ensure shipments are organized and staged in designated areas, ready for timely dispatch.
4. Forklift Operation (as needed):
- Operate Forklift: Safely operate a forklift to move, lift, or stack products as needed within the warehouse.
- Material Handling: Transport product between the loading dock, warehouse storage areas, sequence conveyor, and shipping zones.
