Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will be responsible for managing guest relations and coordinating seating arrangements in our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for managing reservations and processing orders when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; experience with Aloha POS is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- A passion for guest services and hospitality, ensuring every guest feels valued and welcomed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in guest relations.
