Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables
- Manage the flow of guests during peak hours to optimize seating efficiency
- Handle reservations and maintain an organized waitlist
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Provide information about menu items and specials to guests
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness of the host/host area and dining room entrance
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and guest interactions
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus
- Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries
