Education Background: Bachelor Degree in Electrical field
Plan, prepare and coordinate pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up activities leading to project completion. Develop and ensure adherence to a detailed commissioning schedule and plan, covering all aspects of pre-commissioning and start-up phases through to handover. Prepare and/or update a comprehensive commissioning manual. Develop a reporting structure and accountabilities for the commissioning team. Plan and coordinate the commissioning/start up schedule and necessary work with third party providers. Develop pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation. Correct any deficiencies found. Ensure compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with client and legislative requirements. Liaise with government agencies where required to obtain necessary approvals prior to start-up. Prepare client acceptance forms and ensure satisfactory sign-off is obtained. Develop comprehensive quality, environment and safety commissioning plans. A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include: Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
Responsible for the delivery of the main circuit equipment
• Inspection and acceptance of the main circuit equipment and auxiliary systems
installation.
• Start up the auxiliary power systems: Low voltage switchgear, medium voltage switchgear
and associated control and protection system, battery systems, distribution boards,
emergency power units, and uninterruptible power supplies.
• Perform equipment tests of the converter station apparatus.
• Carry on primary and second injections to verify the interfaces with the control and
protection systems.
• Verify main equipment apparatus functionality and interfaces with the control and
protection systems.
• Support the quality assurance of the commissioning by handling the Inspection and Test
Records
• Ensure completion of all commissioning activities, per contract specifications, quality
standards, and safety requirements.
• Carry out on-site training for customers and internal employees of the LTSA team (Long
Term Service Agreement).
• Implements physical design changes and provides mark-ups for as-built project
documentation.
• Confirm compliance with technical specifications and certify equipment is ready for
operation.
• Support operation of the converter stations: High voltage energization and power
transmission during commissioning.
