Description:
Job Title: Janitor
2nd Shift: 2pm to 11pm
6 months contract
The Janitor role is crucial to maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate
will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties that keep the company’s
premises in a clean and orderly condition. Attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential.
Responsabilities:
- Regularly cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and public areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in all areas of the facility.
- Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste in a sanitary manner.
- Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to replacing light bulbs
and unclogging toilets.
- Ensuring that all cleaning supplies are stored safely and are used in the correct amounts.
- Monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training
and certifications.
- Assisting with setup and teardown for events or meetings.
- Ensuring exterior areas such as walkways and parking lots are kept clean and free of debris.
- Complying with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High School Diploma
- Previous janitorial or cleaning service experience.
- Ability to handle equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask, and maintain schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to providing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
