Job Description: Advanced Leak Detection Driver and Survey Technician
This position is responsible for the data collection of potential emissions of a natural gas utilities facilities, as well as the field investigations to determine if the data collected from the driving portion may need additional follow-up.
This position is responsible for gathering data on potential emissions from natural gas utility facilities and conducting field investigations to determine if the collect-ed data requires further follow-up. The role involves both driving to collect initial data and performing on-site inspections to ensure accurate and comprehensive monitoring of emissions.
This position allows technicians to work from a company vehicle to get to the daily assigned map areas. The position requires you to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and use the company provided cell phone and other equipment to complete all work.
In the role of an Advanced Leak Detection Driver and Survey Technician, utilizing specialized software is crucial for accurately analyzing data, generating detailed reports, and ensuring efficient and precise leak detection.
No previous experience is required, however previous leak survey experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Driving and operating advanced mobile leak detection equipment: This in-cludes mobile units equipped with sensors and other technology to identify leaks.
" Conducting surveys and inspections: Regularly surveying areas to detect leaks and ensure system integrity.
" Data collection and reporting: Recording findings and creating detailed re-ports on the condition of the systems inspected.
This position requires walking and working outdoors in varying weather elements. Along with walking, technicians will bend, kneel, and stand frequently throughout the day. Equipment can range in weight from 2-15 pounds, the ability to read and understand utility maps may be required to complete daily tasks.

Normal week is 40 hours (Monday Friday). 7AM 4 PM is the typical work day but there may be some flexibility. Either way it will always be 8 hour work day.
Overnight Travel Required

1. Candidates must have previous experience in gas utility space. At a technician level, candidates must have experience in operating equipment, navigate software and troubleshoot hardware. All together they must have 1 year of experience in this space, and they will also be trained for equipment here all well. Candidates who are technician grade would be great for this role. We're providing field services for a gas utility company using the equipment that we manufacture. Now we will be providing the service as well. The candidate for this role will most of the time be driving and one day a week they will be doing field work investigating potential leaks using equipment and following SOPs and working with technology.
2. Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
3. A competitor for this space is called Southern Cross Inc. and Heath Consultants. These are some of the competitors to look for when searching for candidates.
4. This work is local so all candidates MUST be local to Missouri. The work will start in Kansas City, Missouri with half of the service work occurring in the Saint Louis Missouri region. Approximately half of the work will require overnight travel to the opposite side of the state to Saint Louis. The team will be adding in hotel travel to this role for their budget.
PLEASE NOTE: Ignore the physical work location that is listed for Houston TX. This is incorrect! Candidates MUST be all local to Missouri. Needs to be local to Saint Louis or Kansas City - MO - 50% overnight travel to opposite side of state.
5. Pay rate is ***/ hour.
6. The duration is 5 months for this role. There is room for growth for this role so there is a possibility of extension or hire to perm. Depends on performance.
