Job Summary:
The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the building's lobby area and providing a welcoming presence to visitors and staff. This role involves monitoring access to the facility, greeting and assisting visitors, and responding to security incidents in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:'
- Greet and verify the identity of visitors and staff entering the building.
- Maintain a visitor log and issue visitor badges.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activity.
- Provide directions and information to visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Ensure that the lobby area is clean, secure, and well-maintained at all times.
- Assist in emergency situations by following established procedures and protocols.
- Report any security incidents or irregularities to the appropriate authorities.
- Collaborate with other security personnel and building staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Perform regular security patrols of the lobby and surrounding areas.
- Enforce building policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a security role. (3-5 years)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.
- This role involves standing and walking for extended periods.
- The position requires working in a lobby environment with regular interaction with the public.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
