Position Details:
Title: Engineering Technician II - Product Engineering Support
Location: Fargo ND 58102
Duration: 12 Months (possible extension)
Metatarsal boots required for day one
Onsite position
Job Purpose:
• Maintaining electrical/ mechanical testing rigs, testing design validation, and verification of electronics or electro-mechanical equipment and products, Assemble and disassemble electric motors test rigs and lab equipment.
Job Duties:
1. Work with Engineering to understand and apply defined test methods and requirements.
2. Maintain lab equipment in good working order.
3. Troubleshoot defective lab equipment, provide first attempt at repairing broken equipment, and lead routine maintenance of equipment, as needed.
4. Build test harnesses, load boxes, and test fixtures to support product verification, as required, with minimal supervision.
5. Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
6. Inform supervisor of process, test, or design problems and provide recommendation for corrective action.
7. Design and assemble electrical/mechanical fixtures and test setups as required.
8. Perform inspection, test, and failure analysis as necessary to determine cause of defective tests and assemblies with minimal supervision.
9. Create test documentation when required for prototype products if engineering instructions are not available.
10. Communicate in a professional and effective manner.
11. Perform other associated tasks as required.
