Title : EMC TechnicianLocation : 150, Stephenson Hwy,Troy, MI 48083Duration : 06 months (Contract)Position type : Contract – W2 Job Description : Perform EMC tests per documented laboratory procedures and published standards and specifications.Receiving and identifying test samples per laboratory proceduresReceiving training on laboratory test methods and becoming autonomousPerforming tests as defined in test plans and standards / specificationsFabricating harnesses, load simulators and fixtures to facilitate testingFollow the laboratory quality management system to continuously improve, including : Participation in internal quality audits and third party assessmentsImmediate identification of any nonconforming workParticipation in laboratory group meetingsClosing assigned corrective actions required (CAR)Making suggestions for improving laboratory processesRequired Qualifications / SkillsAssociate Degree in Electronics, Electrical or equivalentThe ability to read, understand & follow standards, test instructions, procedures and schematic diagrams.The ability to fabricate test harnesses, load simulators and test fixtures.Good technical writing skills.Computer literacy.Organized and methodical work habits.Neat and precise record keeping.Preferred Qualifications / SkillsExperience using electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.
