SENIOR CLOUD ARCHITECT

Job DescriptionDETAILED LIST OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance for NewMMIS whether it is hosted on-prem or the cloud.
• Collect and analyze business and technical requirements for the purpose of translating them into information technology solutions. Detail and document the logical and physical designs as per the EOHHS and EOTSS methodologies, policies, standards, and patterns.
• Consult with business leaders to develop and maintain an architecture design in alignment with business strategy and objectives.
• Collaborate with Business Functional Leads, Enterprise Infrastructure, and 3rd parties to define secure, scalable, extensible, and cost-effective solutions.
• Document end-to-end technical architecture and design specifications consistent with architectural and organizational standards.
• Ability to leverage knowledge of cloud-based technologies to present facts, recommendations, and proposals effectively in oral and written form.
• Work in a matrixed environment with infrastructure and applications teams, data warehouse architects, security architects, and strategic partners to create an architecture accommodating the business strategy.
• Develop technical architecture solutions spanning across business policies, systems, hardware, operating systems, applications and networking environments and platforms.
• Have working knowledge of systems design using Oracle Suite, BPM and Rules Engine.
• Identify potential design enhancements and develop Web Service integration Solutions.
• Provide the best feasible solutions for new web applications and web services according to specifications and within agreed upon time frame.
• Participate in design reviews and identify potential mitigation strategies for technical risks.
• Document approach, architectural white papers, and core design artifacts.
• Develop architectural proofs of concept to demonstrate practical business agile solutions and evolve core architectural constructs.
• Collaborate with EOTSS / EOHHS Cloud Architecture Team to assist in the definition and management of standards, guidelines, and processes for infrastructure technology and software development.
• Function as Technical Lead and mentor peer resources.

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of modern enterprise architecture and hands-on experience with Enterprise Application frameworks.
• Skilled at translating business strategy and project portfolio into short and long-term architectural plans, detailed requirements, and models.
• Hands-on expertise designing and developing cloud-native applications and the process of migrating existing applications to the commercial cloud, preferably AWS.
• Have working knowledge of Risk Management, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, IT Security Architecture, and IT Regulatory Compliance.
• The ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies and apply them to improve services or address issues.
• The ability to create estimations of the time and resource requirements for different activities and determine which activities can be completed in parallel and in sequence.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
• Ability to handle the most complex issues and possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings, conduct presentation sessions and effectively lead discussions.
