Inventory Coordinator
L.A. Burdick Chocolates currently has an opening for an Inventory Coordinator. This versatile position is full-time, working 40 hours per week in the Shipping Department. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and will fluctuate during our peak seasons.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with Purchaser on a regular basis regarding inventory levels of physical components, as well as reorder points, ordering timelines, and estimated arrival dates
- Process returns of products back into inventory using NetSuite or similar ERP
- Track damage/loss of components and assembled products
- Work with Shipping and Purchasing on weekly cycle counts for adjusting and tracking component inventory
- Participate in complete physical inventory of all components twice yearly, and make inventory adjusts accordingly
- Coordinate and provide component samples for purchaser, partners, and prospective vendors
- Process purchase order requisitions, perform data entry, and maintain documentation pertaining to inventory control and factory operations
- Assist with developing and maintaining vendor compliance procedures
- Identify and address gaps in the inventory process company-wide
- Train and support other departments on inventory processes
- Research and stay abreast of new trends and best practices in inventory management
- Be Part of the Team: execute warehouse tasks such as shipping and receiving as needed
- Maintain accurate and current inventory data
Required Skills/Abilities
- NetSuite or similar ERP system experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
- Prior Forecasting experience
- Order fulfillment experience
- Inventory Management
- Knowledge of UPS systems
- Exceptional attention to detail is a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and willingness to assist with other duties as needed
Education and Experience
- BS degree preferred
- At least two years of and inventory management experience
- Strong Computer skills- including Microsoft Office and NetSuite
- Self-motivated
