Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team! In this role, you will manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with employees, customers, vendors, service providers, and others involved in the shipping and receiving process.
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 – 5 years of experience in warehouse shipping and receiving.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with team members and management.
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
- Basic math skills for calibrating and measuring specifications.
- Must be able to lift and/or push up to 50lb. Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Comfortable standing or walking for long periods. Also, able to squat, kneel, step up and down on a regular basis.
Job Responsibilities (will include, but are not limited to):
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with customers, service providers, and others involved in the shipping and receiving process.
- Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain visibility and accountability.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, sorting and stocking receivables to facilitate quick access management.
- Engage with vendors and drivers in a positive and professional manner to foster good relationships and effective communication.
- Provide additional backup support for shipping and receiving department as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Inventory and request that all necessary shipping supplies are on hand or are on order to ship material.
- Pull required hardware from inventory and verify correct specifications.
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits as needed.
- Work with the production control shipping commitment list to present shippable parts to our customers.
- Work with the warehouse plant manager to ensure right trucking (carriers) company is setup to ship parts. Stock all unshipped finished goods.
- May perform other tasks as required or assigned.
