KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Communicate daily with manufacturers to ensure product specifications, quality standards and deadlines are met
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy of information and communication across all platforms and departments
  • Comprehend the beginning, middle and end of product development processes specifically for overseas vendors
  • Allocate product against vendor base for the best possible execution
  • Initiate proto requests for all Direct to Vendor (DTV) seasonal development by owning tech pack send out and communication of deadlines.
  • Work with in-house sample room and Patternmakers to execute internal sample requests.
  • Maintain integrity of style development process by making sure all changes are reflected in tech packs and communicated to overseas partners
  • Attend fittings to ensure product is on calendar and problem solve when issues arise
  • Oversees WIP reporting for all proto & SMS sample delivery dates (in PLM) and communication of sample ready dates to cross-functional teams through the PD Assistant.
  • Independently own calendar deadlines and communication of all key deliverables to vendors.
  • Manages the organization and process flow for all proto and SMS samples including pass off to Design as well as SMS shipments to showrooms.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management.
  • Cultivate and train assistants in support of department goals and career growth.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS :

  • Possess strong knowledge in garment construction and specifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical and detail-oriented; accurately update reports, systems entries, or spot check details while viewing line sheets & tech packs
  • Solution oriented and critical thinker
  • Deadline focused and goal driven
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and short lead calendar (Flash)
  • 3 - 4 years’ experience in similar role
  • Work experience with overseas vendors
  • Experience with internal sample room a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Some Production systems or apparel systems experience is required (PLM)
  • Must be able to perform efficiently with tight deadlines
  • Team player and ability to multitask
  • A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
  • Must have strong written & verbal communication skills to relay and understand detailed instructions
  • Ability to work hybrid onsite 2-3x a week
  • Physical Requirements :

  • This position is an office position that requires frequent use of a computer, mouse and keyboard.
  • Frequent sitting.
  • Occasional standing, bending, stooping.
