Job Summary

Assisting the PD team to develop seasonal collections from design handoff to pre-production handoff. Daily communication with vendors tracking sample status from proto to SMS.

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow up and track all protos styles status with vendors and update WIP / PLM accordingly
  • Follow critical development dates for approvals and sample delivery
  • Create cut tickets for in-house development
  • Work with sample room on seasonal fabric inventory
  • Monitor internal sample room flow to make sure samples are meeting required deadlines; communicate priorities
  • Manage sample alterations during line edit
  • Issue Sample PO’s to vendors and send revisions as needed
  • Order seasonal photosamples as required
  • Receive and organize SMS
  • Maintain sample closet / archive
  • Work cross-functionally with departments on sample requirements
  • Distribute and ship SMS to domestic and international showrooms- organizing and generating packing lists
  • Organize, pack and ship all samples at end of the season to our warehouse

Qualifications

  • Experience in Apparel or Retail Industry a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Team-player, willing to jump in and assist others as needed during peak season
  • Full time - Ability to work hybrid onsite 2-3x a week
  • Competencies & Skills

  • Detailed understanding of inventory accounting and merchandise payable, is required.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Excel is required and proficient in MS office.
  • Solid communication skills including the ability to work well in a team environment or independently when tasked
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities
  • Physical Requirements :

  • This position is an office position that requires frequent use of a computer, mouse and keyboard.
  • Frequent sitting.
  • Occasional standing, bending, stooping.
  • Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and / or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the employee must possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Continued employment remains on an “at-will” basis.
