We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Bather to join our team. This role involves bathing, drying, and grooming pets while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Bathe and dry pets according to their specific needs and breed standards.
- Brush and comb pets to remove tangles and mats, ensuring their coats are healthy and clean.
- Inspect pets for any signs of skin issues, parasites, or other health concerns and report findings to the management team.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area, grooming tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Handle pets gently and effectively to minimize stress during grooming sessions.
- Assist with basic animal care tasks such as feeding, walking, or monitoring pets in the facility.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pet's grooming needs and any observations made during the bathing process.
Requirements
- Experience in pet grooming or related fields such as kennel work, animal handling, or veterinary assistance is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pet care practices and knowledge of various breeds' grooming requirements.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately while managing their behavior during grooming sessions.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or multiple pets at once.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both pets and their owners effectively.
