What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Mechanic position at L B & B ASSOCIATES INC?
Dae Sung, LLC is currently seeking a full-time General Maintenance Mechanic to support our contract to provide operations and mechanical maintenance services at the US Federal Courthouse in Springfield, MA. Hourly Pay Rate: $30.57 per hour. Benefits to include: health & welfare pay, vacation, pension, holiday, sick leave in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Working Schedule: Monday through Friday / 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of (4) years' experience performing general maintenance and repair of equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
- Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Painting floors, steps, and sidewalks.
- Replacing damaged paneling and floors tiles.
- Hanging doors and installing locks.
- Replacing broken windowpanes and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
The General Maintenance Mechanic performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Experience in commercial HVAC repair and maintenance of mechanical building systems including PM's, routine service calls and overall facility maintenance highly desired.
High School Diploma/GED required.
