What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Technician position at L & C Truck Repair?
In Need of Fleet Technicians. Benefits include paid Health and Life Insurance and 401k Package. Afternoon / Evening Shift Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts. Overnight Shift Monday-Thursday, 10 hour shifts. Work will be performed at customer's location.
Applicants must:
- Have a current valid Class E drivers license.
- Be able to pass a DOT examination
- General experience with truck repair
Fleet Technician Job Duties:
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing components, parts, or systems.
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
