What You Will Do:
The Global Assistant Controller will offer extensive support to the Controller in all financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, audit, and tax functions.
- Global Financial Reporting and Compliance - Oversee and assist in preparing and consolidating financial statements for multiple entities across different countries, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy in consolidating financial results from subsidiaries and joint ventures.
- Assist in preparing global budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring budget variances, and providing analysis to support budgetary decisions.
- Collaborate with tax departments and external advisors to ensure compliance with global tax regulations and support tax planning initiatives and strategies to optimize tax efficiencies.
- Work with senior management to develop and execute global financial strategies and long-term financial plans aligned with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as needed for financial transactions and reporting.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Certified Public Accountant
- 5-7 years of experience as an accountant with a for-profit corporation and/or public accounting firm
- Working knowledge of GAAP accounting and regulatory requirements
- Highly organized with close attention to detail
- Critical thinker and problem solver; looks for ways to improve processes and automate where possible
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Oracle JDE GL system
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Power Bi/ Sisense experience a plus
