Job Summary:
This person would need to coordinate Purchase Orders (POs) from suppliers and follow them all the way through the favorite brands and L&F systems, to chain accounts. This position also involves analyzing logistics processes, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout the supply chain. Strong analytical skills will be essential for evaluating forecasting formulas and optimizing the movement of products within the distribution network.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate POs from suppliers and ensure they are processed through their favorite brands and L&F systems to chain accounts.
- Analyze and evaluate logistics processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in supply chain operations.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure stock availability while avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address any supply chain disruptions.
- Calculate and forecast ordering needs based on sales trends, seasonal demands, and market fluctuations.
- Use mathematical calculations to determine optimal order quantities and inventory forecasts.
- Maintain accurate records of forecasting data, inventory levels, and logistics reports.
- Support the supply chain team with analysis and reporting to improve overall efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years of related experience in logistics, supply chain forecasting, or inventory management.
- Advanced math skills for performing accurate ordering calculations and maintaining inventory levels.
- Highly proficient computer skills, including experience with forecasting software, Excel, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (example: Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend actionable improvements.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage complex tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey information.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and solve problems as they arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in an office setting for extended periods.
- Capable of analyzing large data sets and effectively communicating findings.
- Must be able to perform desk-related tasks, using hands, wrists, and arms for extended periods.
Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment)
Involves frequent/infrequent, occasional, and routine exposure to:
- Exposure to administrative and warehouse settings, where moving equipment and inventory may pose safety risks.
- Other extreme hazards not listed above.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
- Must possess and maintain a valid state Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
