As we continue to grow, we will need skilled Project Managers to join our team to support our various clients (LAWA, ONT, City of LA, City of Long Beach, LACCD, DMH, LACMTA, and more).
The Role - Community Talent Pool
Our project managers will be responsible for overseeing planning and project phases while working closely with designers and engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role will play a key part in driving the success of our clients’ initiatives and ensuring alignment with their business goals.
Responsibilities
· Lead the management of project scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure project objectives are achieved.
· Oversee all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project, ensuring compliance with contract terms, airport policies, and regulatory standards
· Direct and coordinate design processes, resolve technical issues, manage RFI and submittal processes, and ensure timely issuance of design non-conformances and field non-compliances
· Ensure project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts, is maintained and updated, and that all changes are recorded accurately in project logs
· Monitor and enforce safety standards, quality assurance/control plans, and ensure adherence to the latest project specifications
· Review change proposals, pay applications, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and fair market value
· Support project teams during shutdowns, cut-overs, and logistical coordination, and assist with field management tasks as required
· Facilitate communication and coordination between design, construction, and management teams, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with project goals
· Maintain and update drawing sets, specifications, and logs, and manage RFI tracking and follow-up processes.
· Prepare regular status reports for senior management and assist in the preparation of risk reports and project closeout documentation
· Participate in meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and support expediting functions and other administrative duties as needed
This position requires the understanding of project management principles, construction processes, and strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure the successful delivery of complex construction projects.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, aviation, construction management, business or another related
technical field
· 6 years of project management experience in active operating environments with projects
for aviation, metro rail, and hospitals projects
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Acrobat Adobe Professional, and Prolog
· Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
Preferred Qualification:
· Master’s degree in construction management, engineering, or another related field
· Certifications: PMP, AAAE, LEED, PE, and/ or any other relevant professional licensure of certification
Starting Salary: $95K and up based on experience
