This position will be based out of our headquarters office in Baltimore, Maryland, with remote/hybrid work available.
The primary duties of this job will be:
- Evaluate the credit risk and financial capabilities of current, new, and potential customers
- Consider all factors (risk, legal, security, strategic) to make the best possible credit decision
- Review and resolve orders on credit hold status in a timely manner consistent with credit policy and procedures
- Proactively engage customers in collection activities in order to meet cash flow and DSO goals
- Understand, secure and enforce mechanic lien and payment bond rights when applicable
- Work with Corporate Credit Manager on changes to credit policies and procedures
- Consistently update Sales & Business Managers of credit standing of their key accounts
- Explain, advise, and mentor internal customers about credit policy and procedures
The Regional Credit Manager must have:
- Five (5) years of experience in commercial credit as a credit manager. Relevant work as a credit analyst will be considered as well.
- Experience in the construction or building products industry strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field is preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting practices
- Knowledge of UCC1 filings preferred
- Familiarity with Solar Eclipse ERP software is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Outstanding communication skills and professional telephone demeanor
