Part-Time Delivery Driver

Our work cannot be completed without the timely delivery and pick-up of control components and materials for various construction sites.
Drives truck with capacity under 3 tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations.

• Materials delivery to multiple jobsites
• Maintain good communication with the Purchasing Coordinator throughout the day while on deliveries and pick-ups.
• Maintain delivery schedule.
• Loading and unloading of delivery truck.
• Pick-up and delivery of gang boxes, job trailers, and miscellaneous tools.
• Obtains and turns in signed receipts for pick-up and delivery of equipment and material.
• Assists Purchsing Coordinator with receiving of incoming equipment and material orders during slow periods.
• Assists Purchasing Coordinator in stocking inventory shelves.
• Assists Purchasing Coordinator in maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safe working conditions.
• Assists Purchasing Coordinator with light maintenance and repairs for office.
• Responsible for cleaning interior and exterior of delivery truck and other fleet trucks as needed.
• Job hours are typically Monday through Friday starting at 6:30 a.m. for 20-40 hours per week as needed.

• Being physically present at the office with face to face contact is an essential function of this job. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.
• While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hand and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to travel 90% of the time.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
• Ability to communicate using written and spoken English with customers and co-workers.
• Able to pass drug testing.
• Clean DMV record.
• Current California Drivers License and Insurance.
