Type: Part-time/Flexible
Compensation: $22-$25 Hourly, with opportunities for commission based on performance

L’Isolina Pasta is a regenerative, whole-grain pasta company passionate about creating food that is farmed for flavor. We partner directly with local, Long Island farms that grow heirloom grains and stone mill our flour to order. We then bronze-draw and slow-dry L'Isolina Pasta, preserving the flavor, texture and nutrition of these beautiful grains. This allows us to make a pasta that is richer in flavor, more nutritious, and more sustainable, furthering our mission of redefining pasta as a better choice for both the planet and your plate.

Our Pasta Evangelists are the frontline ambassadors of our brand, helping customers experience the beauty of L’Isolina firsthand.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Pasta Evangelist to demo and represent L’Isolina Pasta in Whole Foods Markets. This role is vital to building brand awareness, educating customers about our products, and driving sales. You’ll be the face of our company, introducing shoppers to our story, our mission, and most importantly, our delicious pasta.

• Typical demo lasts 5 hours
• Current stores are in Huntington, Jericho, Westbury, Massapequa, & Lake Grove

• Conduct Demos: Cook delicious, always al dente L'Isolina Pasta samples for Whole Foods customers. Adhere to Whole Foods' guidelines, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are handled safely and professionally.
• Engage Customers: Enthusiastically engage with shoppers to introduce them to L’Isolina Pasta and share our story.
• Product Knowledge: Educate customers on the benefits of our whole-grain, regenerative pasta and answer any questions about the product, ingredients, and mission. (In short, regenerative farming is better for the health of planet and the consumer, and tastes better!)
• Drive Sales: Encourage customers to purchase products by highlighting locality, and the flavor, quality, and sustainability benefits.
• Brand Representation: Maintain a hospitality-first kind and positive attitude, embodying L’Isolina’s values and passion for excellent food and friendliness.
• Report Feedback: Track and report customer feedback, sales numbers, and demo insights to the team after each event.

• Personable & Outgoing: Comfortable engaging with strangers and sparking conversations.
• Passion for Food & Agriculture: A genuine love/curiosity for excellent, sustainable food, and an interest in sharing that passion.
• Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, organized, and the willingness to constantly learn and improve. See anything we can be doing better? Amazing! Let us know and help us build our processes.
• Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, and occasional evenings to meet the demands of in-store demo schedules.
• Experience: Ability to cook excellent pasta, or strong interest in learning how to do so! Prior experience in restaurants, food demoing, retail, or customer service is a plus but not required. 

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A car for transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working with food and adhering to safety and hygiene standards. (Food handler certification ideal.)
