Warehouse Manager

You can effectively direct receiving, warehousing and distribution
operations. You will oversee the
efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide
variety of products. Ultimately, you
should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all
warehouse processes are running safely, damage free, smoothly and promptly.

Responsibilities | Duties

• Overseeing, receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by

initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel
policies and procedures.

• Overseeing warehouse and grounds maintenance; maintains physical

conditions by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting
equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacements.

• Implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Implementing and overseeing security operations.
• Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Ensuring safety of staff.
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling and

disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.

• Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of

warehouse activities.

• Maintaining awareness and knowledge of condition and location of

fleet vehicles.

• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and

reconciles.

• Scheduling and assigning crews and shipments inbound | outbound;

follow up on work results.

• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
• Ability to operate forklift effectively.
