INVENTORY HANDLER
(First Shift Position: Monday Thursday: 6:00am 3:30pm and Fridays; 6:00am 10:00am)
General Description/Purpose:
The Inventory Handler will be storing and issuing supply components for various departments. The Inventory Handler will also receive new product from manufacturing and receive and return manufacturing overcuts to stock from manufacturing. The Inventory Handler completes these functions in the manufacture of furniture parts and pieces.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify a variety of wood species products including but not limited to the following wood species: Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and Veneers and make grade related decisions on a daily basis based on established Stickley standards
- Reports to their supervisor or work group leader for daily directions and promptly report any questions or problems and communicate effectively in person and in writing including contacting Supervisors with and count discrepancies when issuing or receiving product
- Read, comprehend, and full fill production tickets
- Read and Interpret part drawings
- Inspect parts and inventory for quality
- Work in the safest, most efficient manner
- Operate assigned tools and computer systems included but not limited to items such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, AX, and company email
- Maintain powered industrial truck training/licensing for material handling and recertify every 3 years. Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, side loaders, scissor lifts, and pallet movers
- Store and issue supply components for various departments
- On a daily basis handles product releases to manufacturing including general inventory picks based on build schedules and/or supervisor direction and assists in pulling items as requested from manufacturing employees
