Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Utilize kitchen equipment and tools safely, including knives and other cooking utensils.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or fine dining kitchen is preferred.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
