Job Summary:
We are looking for a residential/commercial Painter to join our team! You will be preparing and performing professional exterior and interior painting jobs in a residential and light commercial setting.
You are an experienced residential and/or commercial painter who’s looking to be part of an energetic and effective team. You believe in a job done right and take pride in delivering a quality service to customers. A positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Paint using a proper applicator (brush, roller, etc.) while utilizing proper painting techniques
- Interact professionally with customers, evaluating requests, pricing projects, troubleshooting issues, and describing work orders as needed
- Identify proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or by other means necessary
- Mix, match, and blend various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve the desired color, consistency, and drying properties
- Use caulk, putty, cement, or plaster to repair holes and cracks
- Inspect paint jobs for quality
- Perform daily maintenance routines on painting equipment
- Prepare and clean drywall surfaces for finishing, including filling seams, cracks, and holes with joint compound.
- Apply coats of joint compound using trowels or automatic tools to smooth surfaces and eliminate imperfections.
- Sand and polish drywall surfaces to create a smooth and even finish.
- Apply texture finishes to drywall as needed, such as knockdown, orange peel, or smooth finishes.
- Install corner beads and trim to ensure neat edges and corners.
- Inspect finished drywall for quality, making touch-ups as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in residential or commercial painting and/or remodeling/home repair
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute between job sites
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs of equipment
