Asst. Supervisor

The Assistant On-Site Supervisor provides the leadership, and vision as necessary to ensure the operating efficiency at the highest level of customer service in a high paced environment. This is an independent, high performance position.

The Assistant On-Site Supervisor is responsible for helping lead the Warehouse Operations and delivering superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of safety, quality, and cost.

Responsibilities

Keep the Warehouse organized clean and well maintained
Directs, leads and oversee the work of all facility employees.
Working supervisor/working alongside the employees
Direct employees to ensure compliance to established policies.
Maintain warehouse operations
Communicate effectively with employees and upper management team.
Own and drive cost control initiatives and process control.
Drive safety improvements in and around warehouse.
Develop a balanced approach to maximize best operational practices and cost efficiencies across the facility while maintaining cost satisfaction and profitability.
Drive compliance through teamwork for all standard operating procedures within the facility.

Requirements
Works well unsupervised
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Results oriented and can meet commitments
Pallet handling experience a plus
Logistics and warehousing experience 2 years
Forklift experience
Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally
Excellent people management skills supervising hourly workers
Experience and understanding supply chain practices and metrics
Superior ability to manage people and motivate a team
Excellent problem solving skills and strategic planning

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
