Hoosier Jiffy Print is looking for a dedicated and creative Apparel Decoration Production Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the decoration of apparel items, including tasks like screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer, and other decorative techniques. Your work will play a key part in bringing our designs to life and ensuring that finished products meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apparel Decoration: Apply various decoration techniques (screen printing, embroidery, heat press, sublimation, etc.) to garments according to design specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished decorated apparel to ensure design accuracy, color consistency, and that all decorations meet quality standards.
- Machine Operation & Maintenance: Operate decoration machinery such as screen printers, embroidery machines, heat presses, and others. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Material Handling: Prepare and organize materials for decoration, ensuring correct color, fabric type, and design placement. Maintain inventory of decorating supplies and report shortages.
- Artwork Preparation: Work with the design team to prepare artwork and ensure correct sizing, positioning, and color matching for decoration on garments.
- Production Efficiency: Assist in maintaining an efficient production workflow, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising product quality.
- Packaging & Shipping: Prepare decorated apparel for packaging, ensuring all items are properly folded, tagged, and packed for shipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (designers, quality control, production) to ensure all orders are completed on time and to specification.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in apparel decoration (screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer, etc.) is preferred.
- Basic understanding of decoration processes and machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in design accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds during shifts.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to operate decoration machines and equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.79 - $15.23 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
