What are the responsibilities and job description for the International Controller position at L&L Products?
Summary of primary duties and responsibilities:
- Participate with the management team in the development of the Company’s long-term strategic objectives.
- Direct and coordinate the timely reporting of the Company's (L&L Holding) domestic & international financial activity according to generally accepted accounting principles ("U.S. GAAP") and government regulations.
- Direct and coordinate policies and procedures that will ensure the accurate and timely reporting of transactions.
- Responsible for global consolidation of financial entities of L&L Holding on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
- Direct and coordinate the timely and accurate filing of required U.S. federal, state and local tax returns related to the consolidated entity.
- Coordinate, schedule and oversee the year-end financial audit of all related entities of L&L Holding with the Company's outside auditors.
- Direct and conduct internal audits as determined necessary.
- Evaluate formats and information conveyed in financial reporting for relevancy, effecting modifications as necessary to meet the needs of senior management, entity specific.
- Develop income projections and cash forecasts for all related entities of L&L Holding.
- Due diligence and financial modeling of potential business acquisitions or other corporate development initiatives.
- Direct and coordinate policies and procedures that will affect the maximum return on the Company's financial assets, including the short-term investment of excess working capital, as well as the timely payment of vendors.
- Develop and maintain procedures and internal controls for the Global Finance Team to ensure that the corporate records and information is accurate and secure.
- Establish new and maintain existing banking relationships as necessary.
- Oversee daily cash and investments for L&L Holding US.
- Preparation of materials for meeting of the Board of Directors as necessary.
- Day to day responsibility of adherence of the company transfer pricing policy.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of L&L Holding internal control policies.
- Special Management Reports and duties to include:
- Financial forecasts and budgets.
- Corporate annual report.
- Quarterly financial reports.
- Special reports and analysis as requested.
- Effective leadership of personnel to achieve corporate objectives, departmental goals, maintain the desired corporate culture and philosophy and adhere to Company polices.
- Management of direct reports, when applicable: this includes selection, training development, verbal performance feedback and yearly written performance evaluations.
Training
- Ensure that training is timely and complete in order to maintain and increase level of expertise as required by the position.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience; minimum of five years’ experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller or Finance Manager who functioned as a direct supervisor over all areas of Finance
