Greenhouse Grower (Full Time)

Job Title Description: Greenhouse Grower directly participates in all facets of growing a quality crop, greenhouse operations and management.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Plant, prune, space, water and fertilize crops accurately and according to schedule, ensuring growth of healthy and quality plants.

· Monitor environmental conditions in the greenhouse and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal growing conditions including, but not limited to, temperature control, humidity management and greenhouse ventilation.

· Utilize integrated pest management (IPM) strategies, inspect and scout plants regularly for disease outbreak and pest infestation, and work with management to prevent or treat problems.

· Participate in pesticide and fertilizer application, following established chemical application protocols and procedures.

· Operate and maintain greenhouse equipment and facilities.

· Uphold cleanliness standards and promote clean greenhouse conditions.

· Perform other related work duties required by management.

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

· Knowledge of crop culture, timing, and plant health to ensure quality at each stage of the growing process.

· Communicate effectively and regularly with management and fellow employees.

Applicants must be able to:

· Be on your feet for 8 hours each day.

· Lift, carry and move 25 pounds.

· Work in greenhouse environment with varying temperatures, dirt, dust and other possible allergens.

· Work in a wet environment where clothes and footwear can become saturated.

· Starting salary $45,000
