NURSE PRACTITIONER RESEARCH COORDINATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Unique position as a Full time Research Coordinator Nurse for a research facility, perfect for an intelligent, self-motivated, compassionate, licensed APRN whose has a commitment to patient safety, work quality, work productivity, timeliness, and who has the necessary skills to work as part of a research team (no research experience is required).

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner Research Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day, as well as long-term medical management of study participants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Interact with human research study sponsors and vendors (we do not do non-human animal studies)
· Coordinate activities relative to the conduct of clinical trials
· Ensure compliance with applicable protocols, as well as the research site’s established research Standard Operating Procedures
· Assist in providing medical care within the context of protocol-directed investigational treatments
· Occasional travel to Investigator Meetings (travel expenses are paid by the study sponsor)
· Work with other members of the research team to ensure:
o Study participant safety
o Research quality
o Productivity
o Teamwork
o Timely completion of research tasks
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
· APRN degree with an active nursing degree in good standing for Kentucky (no research experience required)
· Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher (applications with curriculum vitae not listing the GPA will not be reviewed)
· Technology skills include familiarity with the general use of Word
· Must be intellectually curious, and desirous of an academic environment and achievement
· Must be self-reliant, self-motivated, diligent, industrious and persistent in the workplace, and have a high work ethic
· Must be able to work with other self-reliant, self-motivated, diligent, industrious, persistent, high work ethic research staff members – as it pertains to being part of a research team
· Must be able to perform work in a neat, efficient, well-coordinated, well communicated manner with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
· Must have record of timely and regular work day attendance (i.e. punctuality and highly limited absenteeism is a requirement)
