Summary
Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Manager, this full-time, non-exempt hourly role works to ensure the smooth and effective operations of the core systems and components, hardware and software, operating systems, training, coordination, maintenance and support.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Perform daily computer operation functions and period end processing, process appropriate jobs, ensure daily backup, maintain implementing core system projects as required. Assist in the technical Help Desk function.
- Familiarity with all Data Processing vendors and solutions (hardware and software) related to the core systems (Internet Banking, FIS, Shared Branching, etc.). Provides primary support for the core system and troubleshoots technical issues that are related to the core systems.
- Coordinate communications between vendors and the Credit Union. Communicate core systems related issues to management. Assist in the disaster recovery testing and implementation.
- PC support. Hardware maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair. Internal repair when feasible, otherwise coordinate with external repair service. Evaluates repair/upgrade cost benefit. Installs and configures software.
- Trains Credit Union staff on PC fundamentals, i.e. Windows, basic word processing, etc.
- Generates reports or downloads for DP system.
- Assists in documenting and tracking core systems hardware and software performance and problems, coordinates with users to minimize the impact of scheduled and unscheduled downtime.
- Generates the processing schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly job streams. Coordinates with various departments to establish, modify, and document processing schedules and system inter dependencies required to meet the changing business needs.
- Assures that all data center supplies are maintained in adequate quantities, monitors quality and supplies.
- Assures that all production data is safeguarded through regular and redundant backups, coordinates on site, and hot site (if applicable) data storage, transportation, and rotations to guarantee multiple levels of recovery capability, oversees access security for the data center.
- Represents the Credit Union to the member in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Has working knowledge of the services offered by the Credit Union. Understands, promotes and adheres to the policies of the Credit Union. Practices confidentiality as indicated in employee matters and Credit Union operations.

Qualifications and Certifications
- A High School education or GED required.
- 1 to 3 years of similar or related experience.
- Associate’s Degree in similar or related field preferred.
