What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banking Officer Floater- Full-Time - Louisville, KY position at L&N Federal Credit Union?
Summary
Reporting to the VP of Branch Operations, the Banking Officer Floater works to develop deeper relationships with new and existing members of the credit union. Promoting the sales environment with members and staff in regards to member development throughout the branch. The Banking Officer Floater fills in at branches that need extra help and assist in daily branch operations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
1. Provide routine information concerning services to new and existing members. Open new member service accounts, handle any questions or problems in regards to member service issues while looking for cross‑sell opportunities to better service the members. Direct member to appropriate Officer for lending needs when situations warrant lending processing and or approval.
2. Conduct follow up with new members, including working monthly reports for future cross sell opportunities.
3. Stay informed on all credit union promotions of new products or services.
4. Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act and security procedures of the credit union.
5. Provide product knowledge to members and be prepared to compare with the competition.
6. Keep abreast of federal regulations and stay in compliance with all laws.
7. Cooperate and work together as a team with coworkers, maintain a neat work area, and perform other duties as required by management.
8. To practice confidentiality where appropriate in all employee, member and credit union affairs.
9. To assist other branches when they are short staffed.
10. May be required to help out on the teller line and run transactions as needed.
Qualifications and Certifications
• A high school education or GED required.
• Associates Degree or higher preferred.
• 1 year to 3 years of similar or related experience required.
