Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Branch Operations, this full-time, exempt salaried role works to improve the Credit Union’s competitive position, consistent with its mission, within its established communities while supervising the operations of a remote branch facility. This includes helping with everyday branch responsibilities, managing employees, serving our members, and networking with the community to help bring business to L&N.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Increase member penetration and use of Credit Union services among their established community area. Be available to coordinate and/or attend various community functions for the purpose of representing the Credit Union to the community.
- Supervise and be directly involved in the overall operations of the branch, including Member Service and Lending functions.
- Be responsible for growth of the office through present and new members while focusing on community involvement.
- Provide leadership example to all employees and support decisions of management.
- Assist Collections Department in past due and charge off accounts as needed.
- Implement procedural and policy changes at the branch and communicate those changes to all branch personnel.
- Keep abreast of federal and state regulations and stay in compliance with all laws pertaining to operations, including employment laws.
- Motivate employees and practice confidentiality relating to employee and member information.
- Cooperate and work together as a team with co-workers, maintain a neat work area, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Operate in various branch roles, such as working the teller line and in a lending capacity, to ensure exceptional member service.
- Review various operational reports as required to ensure the branch staff are meeting their production goals.
- Make sure office is secured including, but not limited to; checking ATM for skimmers, checking office before employees arrive, making sure cameras are working etc.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Associate’s degree required.
- A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of similar or related experience required.
- 5-10 years of similar or related experience preferred.
- Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus.
