What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser Operator position at L&N Metal Works?
L & N Metal Works is a fabrication shop located in Gillett, WI. L & N Metal Works provides our customers with custom structural, architectural, and industrial components. We are seeking a qualified, driven individual to join our team. Our benefits include health, dental & vision insurance; 401k; paid vacation & holidays.
We currently have 1 position open in our laser cutting and forming department, operating one of our laser. Hours are first shift 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday-Thursday, with opportunities for overtime (Fridays as needed).
Responsibilities:
- Execute proper start-up and shut-down of machine
- Load, set-up, and run machine to planned arrangements
- Evaluate, correct, and take actions necessary to prevent quality issues
- Responsible for the quality of all materials produced while maintaining company safety guidelines
- All other miscellaneous duties, as required
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing/Fabrication/CNC experience preferred
- Must have good work history and attendance
- Must be able to multi-task
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Basic computer skills
- Prior use of calipers and gauges and ability to read tape measure
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Press Brake experience is a plus; but not required
