Essential functions
The following list is a summary of the key functions of the job and may not be inclusive of all duties assigned.
- Gather and record patients' chief complaints while capturing a thorough ocular and medical history, ensuring a smooth start to their care journey.
- Guide patients through their tests, explaining the purpose of each procedure and what to expect, so they feel informed and at ease.
- Administer eye drops and medications as prescribed, playing a key role in preparing patients for their provider's care.
- Perform precise and consistent documentation of key measurements and tests using a variety of tools and machines, including Visual Acuity, ARK, Lensometry, Visual Fields, OCT, IOL Master/A-scan, and more.
- Support efficient patient flow, seeing patients promptly and stepping in to assist other clinic areas when needed, contributing to seamless operations.
- Maintain a clean and stocked clinic, ensuring every area is ready for patient care and up to the highest standards.
- Monitor and report equipment issues to the Clinical Manager, ensuring tools remain in top condition for optimal patient outcomes.
- Adapt to new technologies, taking on additional tasks specific to your provider’s needs as advancements arise, making you a key player in innovative eye care.

Physical demands/potential hazards
- Must be able to walk, stand, and move around for the majority of the day; may be required to lift equipment up to 50 pounds and assist patients with physical mobility.

Education and experience
Educational requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- OMA Certification required after 90 days of employment
- No experience necessary
