Essential Responsibilities:
Strategic Culture & Values Champion
- Collaborate with the global People team to define and implement the HR strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and corporate values.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with department Heads and senior leaders to guide and execute organizational change initiatives.
- Lead efforts to embed and evolve the US-specific company culture, values, and employee experience in alignment with ELEMIS’s global standards.
- Drive proactive succession planning strategies to ensure the business is future-ready with robust talent pipelines for key leadership roles.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the US HR team to deliver exceptional support to employees and managers, ensuring the team is a valued resource for People solutions and HR best practices.
- Act as an ambassador for professional development and continuous learning within the HR function, championing best-in-class HR practices.
Strategic Talent Acquisition & Development
- Define and execute strategic workforce planning initiatives, partnering with Finance and department leaders to meet evolving business needs.
- Oversee recruitment activities across the US business, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring the attraction and retention of top-tier talent.
- Personally manage recruitment for executive-level roles within the US, ensuring the quality and alignment of hires with the company’s strategic vision.
- Build comprehensive career development frameworks and succession plans that enable sustained growth and employee engagement.
Employee Onboarding & Immersion
- Oversee and continuously enhance the new hire experience to foster engagement and alignment with ELEMIS’s mission from day one.
- Provide guidance to managers to create a consistent, meaningful onboarding experience that spans the employee’s first 30 days.
People Information Systems & Analytics
- Lead the optimization of People Systems, identifying and implementing improvements to drive HR effectiveness and data accuracy.
- Develop and analyze key People metrics, using data-driven insights to support decision-making at the executive level and to improve employee outcomes.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Oversee all complex Employee Relations matters, providing executive-level guidance on sensitive issues to ensure compliance, timeliness, and risk mitigation.
- Act as the primary advisor for senior managers on Employee Relations topics, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and more, ensuring adherence to company policies and legislation.
Learning & Development (L&D) and Engagement
- Design and implement programs that drive continuous employee engagement, including career development, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
- Lead the contribution discussion process, ensuring performance alignment across all levels and fostering a culture of accountability and development.
- Partner with the UK People team to implement the employee engagement survey, analyzing results to inform engagement strategies and enhance workplace culture.
Policy, Procedure, & Compliance Leadership
- Develop, refine, and implement policies and procedures that align with US employment legislation, industry best practices, and business needs.
- Champion ongoing improvements to HR practices, streamlining processes to drive efficiency, productivity, and employee satisfaction.
Payroll Administration
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance, overseeing all payroll processes for US-based employees, including payroll changes, third-party payments, and taxation compliance.
Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility
- Ensure all HR initiatives and practices align with ELEMIS’s sustainability goals, contributing to the company’s Climate, Biodiversity, and People Pillars.

- Strategic and proactive approach with a growth mindset and commitment to organizational success.
- Proven experience leading HR functions in high-growth, fast-paced environments; beauty industry experience preferred.
- Expertise in change management and ability to champion new initiatives and ideas effectively.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex HR challenges.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities, with a capacity to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to foster collaboration and influence across multiple departments and seniority levels.
- High proficiency in employee relations, employment law, and HR best practices.
- Skilled in HRIS and data analytics with a data-driven approach to strategic HR initiatives.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
Compensation:
Salary range for this role is $130,000 to $160,000 annually.
