SUMMARY
ELEMIS is seeking a highly motivated Sales Planning & Finance Intern to support both our Planning and Finance teams in driving business performance. This role offers hands-on experience in sales analysis, financial reporting, and forecasting while collaborating across multiple departments, including Sales, Operations, and Marketing.
As an intern, you will assist with weekly KPI reporting, sales forecasting, inventory analysis, and financial revenue and P&L analysis to ensure cross-functional teams have the necessary tools for success. You will gain exposure to business operations within a growing luxury skincare brand, taking ownership of select projects while developing key analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate is a current student pursuing a major in business, finance or related field. Candidate is a proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives both independently and in a team environment, excited to learn about the financial and planning sides of business. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning
Pull weekly sales data from vendor portals, and update weekly sales KPI reports
Analize inventory levels based on sales trends, making inventory recommendations as necessary
Help in creation of new reports to present data to sales & management teams
- Track retail activations and performance, reporting comparisons to last year
- Additional tasks as assigned
Finance
Help manage the weekly distribution of KPI metrics distributed across the company
Financial reporting and P&L analysis to support cross-functional teams
Tracking expenses of marketing/sales teams
Assist with the finance team’s monthly close
Additional tasks as assigned
Sustainability Responsibility
Ensure all duties carried out and actions completed in every aspect of your role, contribute to the short and long-term Sustainability Goals set-forth by the ELEMIS - Climate, Biodiversity & People Pillars
QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS
Current student or recent graduate of a bachelor's program, most likely in business, retail merchandising, supply chain or similar.
Strong mathematical skills.
Professional verbal and written communication
You’re detail-oriented, passionate and self-starter.
Able to manage multiple projects at once and stay connected with the team.
Interest in the beauty industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite-primarily Excel
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized.
Strong time management and ability to work to set deadlines.
Energetic, self-motivated, results oriented.
Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, digital-first, work environment.
